Technological leader: in 2002 we invented the dust suppression industry with nebulized water jet cannons. Now we are reinventing it.
LEOTECH is world's leader in dust and odour suppression systems and machines based on atomized jet technology. In 2001 we developed the first dust suppression cannons, afterwards sold all over the world. Some years later we asked ourselves if a better technology for dust suppression could exist: the current LEOTECH's ranges of products, protected by patents, is the answer.
2002
The very first fan cannon for dust suppression in the world
After research, development and testing activities, borrowing technologies and know how from CORTECH, a company belonging to our group and active in the snowmaking field, the very first fan cannon for dust suppression in the world was shown at Samoter trade fair (Italy) and afterwards at Mine Expo in Las Vegas (USA).
2002-2008
A whole range of fan cannons for dust suppression is sold all over the world
A whole range of fan cannons for dust suppression is sold all over the world through an Italian commercial company, external to our group. Meanwhile our machines are copied (more or less successfully) by tens of new born companies and proposed on the international markets.
2009
The Leotech brand is officially active on the market
The Leotech brand is officially active on the market: a company created within our group with the aim to develop products purposely designed for dust suppression, instead of being simple adaptions from snowmaking technologies. For the first time the new brand and the selling activities are directly proposed on the market. During the autumn of the same year the new ROTOFOG range of products, dedicated to fixed and automated installations, was patented and showcased.
2010
The first version of the MOTOFOG hits the market
The first version of the MOTOFOG hits the market: an autonomous and movable dust suppression unit based on nebulised jet technology and patented worldwide. It was showcased at the Bauma trade fair in Munich (Germany) with a 40B (petrol) version. It suddenly sparks the interest of industry professionals.
2011
The RFA (ROTOFOG Autonomous) range of products is presented
The RFA (ROTOFOG Autonomous) range of products is presented: these are autonomous ROTOFOG units, designed for fixed installations which do not require the implementation of a complete dust suppression system. The MOTOFOG range is extended, following to a huge request by the customers, with the new Diesel (D) and Electric (E) versions, suitable for indoor use. The 20 model is introduced.
2013
The MOTOFOG 10 is presented
The MOTOFOG 10 is presented: the smallest unit among the MOTOFOG range, fully manually operated.
2013 - 2016
The machines are constantly evolved, reaching higher and higher performances and reliability levels.
The machines are constantly evolved, reaching higher and higher performances and reliability levels. MOTOFOG, despite its apparently unchanged since 2010 winning design, gets constantly improved, increasing its efficiency, with new diesel engines, along with a better usability and an easier maintenance. During this period a new sales network is devolped, allowing us to be successful on several international markets.
2017
MF60D premiere
MF 60D, the most powerful MOTOFOG ever, is showcased at the DDR exhibition in Brussels (Belgium). In the same occasion Leotech becomes an official member of EDA (European Demolition Association).
2018
MF60D: international succes
MF 60D is delivered to several customers, getting a huge international success and becoming the new reference for the market.
